Ms. Jane

Ms. Jane Accounting is a nationwide accounting collaborative specializing in cannabis. Our network includes cannabis accountants, tax preparers, and other professionals, ensuring we stay updated on the latest cannabis news and laws. Whether you’re in marijuana or CBD/Hemp, an ancillary, cultivator, dispensary, manufacturer, or somewhere in between, we have the expertise to assist you.

Are you feeling like your current accountant doesn’t understand the unique needs of your cannabis business? We recognize the challenges and lack of information in the cannabis industry. We understand that accounting is crucial for business success, and taxes can significantly impact a company. While many accountants focus solely on the past, we take a forward-focused approach while also ensuring we’re on the right path to success for you and your business. Helping cannabis businesses thrive is our passion.

We are dedicated to breaking the grass ceiling through diversity, equity, and inclusion. Let us help you break the grass ceiling, too. As states legalize cannabis and federalization draws nearer, we see this not only as an opportunity but as an obligation to uplift underrepresented communities harmed by cannabis prohibition. BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and other People of Color) communities have been disproportionately targeted by the war on drugs for years, leading to a significant number of arrests and high incarceration rates. Despite the US cannabis industry being worth billions, the majority of cannabis license holders are Caucasian males. This stark contrast highlights the need for reparative justice and increased access to funding, education, networks, and alliances for BIPOC entrepreneurs in cannabis. According to the Marijuana Business Daily in 2017, only 4% of cannabis dispensaries and owners were African American, with women of color holding just over 5% of senior roles. It is imperative that we ensure BIPOC entrepreneurs not only have a seat at the table but also succeed.

Ms. Jane Accounting has always been and will continue to be a strong supporter of LGBTQ+ people and women in business. Both communities played crucial roles in the legalization of marijuana and are underrepresented in the cannabis industry. We are committed to changing this narrative by uplifting our fellow women, BIPOC, and LGBTQ+ entrepreneurs in cannabis.
