Our Mission & History: Our mission is to ensure Maryland residents have access to alternative health options. The Maryland Healthy Alternatives Association was established by a group of concerned citizens who saw the need for greater awareness of policies threatening public access to natural alternatives. Since then, we have been dedicated to guaranteeing every Marylander can access these options. We are committed to protecting small businesses and keeping excessive government interference out of your health choices, defending residents’ rights.

Our Challenges: The Maryland Healthy Alternatives Association’s biggest challenge is combating the monopolistic control of large, corporate-backed cannabis companies under Maryland’s Cannabis Reform Act (CRA). This involves navigating restrictive legislative and regulatory frameworks that favor large entities, advocating for fair and accessible licensing processes in a market dominated by limited licenses, and ensuring the economic viability of small businesses in a landscape skewed towards well-resourced corporations.
