Freshly Baked Company was established in 2018 by disabled veterans Philip Smith and Jenny Roseman, who discovered the therapeutic benefits of cannabis for managing PTSD stemming from their military service. Philip, an Iraq combat Marine, and Jenny, a 9/11 first responder at the Pentagon during her time in the Air Force, were inspired by their own experiences to create a company aimed at assisting fellow PTSD sufferers.
