The lack of representation of Latinos in the cannabis industry prompted us to unite the communities of San Francisco, Oakland, and San Jose, recognizing the significant impact this collaboration could have. BALCA, a 100% volunteer organization, has evolved into a powerful movement that equally represents both Latino men and women. Whether speaking with budtenders or our own members, we consistently witness eyes lighting up when discussing the social change we advocate for. Planting the seeds of inclusive change has clearly inspired many, and the positive energy alone feels like a reward. We are more committed than ever to empowering our beautiful Latino community for long-term success in the California cannabis industry and beyond. A Latino community characterized by cultural pride and professionalism in serious work creates a powerful balance that has yet to be fully realized in the cannabis industry.
