Saving Sophie

Inspired by 9-year-old cancer warrior Sophie Ryan, who was diagnosed at just 8 1/2 months old, Saving Sophie is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to supporting groundbreaking medical research for cancer patients of all ages and assisting families facing financial challenges.

Sophie’s parents, Josh and Tracy Ryan, were driven to find a cure for her cancer after discovering that only 3.8% of government funding is allocated to pediatric cancer research, with just four new drugs introduced for children in the past 40 years. Considering their daughter’s low-grade, rare tumor, which has an 85% recurrence rate, a breakthrough therapy seemed out of reach.

Determined to never give up, the Ryans are now personally involved in cutting-edge research and therapeutic treatments showing incredible promise in cancer immunotherapy. With access to science backed by over 30 years of research and led by the world’s leading expert in Natural Killer Cells, Josh, Tracy, and Sophie are committed to ensuring these therapies reach the market and are accessible to patients in need through financial support from their charity.

At Saving Sophie, the goal isn’t just to save Sophie; it’s to help patients all over the world.
