Social Equity Empowerment Network

We are a business and trade association comprising entrepreneurs, professionals, and enthusiasts committed to achieving equity and economic empowerment through ownership. We passionately advocate for equity in emerging industries and markets, providing valuable resources and fostering connectivity to create a more diverse ecosystem.

In 2018, a group of social equity entrepreneurs and residents of Illinois came together to explore entry into the state’s cannabis industry. From these pivotal meetings, the Social Equity Empowerment Network (SEEN) was born. SEEN has become a vital network for sharing useful information, resources, and events to support the application process, designed to be a cornerstone of the social equity business community among minority and small business owners.

To support and include all social equity applicants and other disenfranchised and underrepresented entrepreneurs, the Black Canna Network formed the official 501c(6) trade association known as the Social Equity Empowerment Network (S.E.E.N.™). This trade association offers specific skill-building workshops, ownership preparation, critical discounts, and purchasing power for members from our communities. Our ultimate goal is to become an unyielding force and voice for Social Equity (SE) applicants, owners, and entrepreneurs in emerging agricultural industries.
