Our Mission

Erowid is a community-supported organization dedicated to providing reliable, non-judgmental information about psychoactive plants, chemicals, and related topics. We collaborate with academic, medical, and experiential experts to develop and publish new resources, as well as to enhance access to existing ones. Additionally, we strive to ensure the preservation of these resources as a historical record for future generations.

Our Vision

We envision a world where psychoactives are approached with respect and understanding, fostering collaboration in the collection and sharing of knowledge. This collective knowledge strengthens self-awareness and provides insight into the intricate choices faced by individuals and societies. We believe that truthful, accurate, and ethical publishing of psychoactive information promotes healthier and more informed decisions, behaviors, and policies regarding all psychoactive substances. Erowid’s vision is to support and develop resources that contribute to this evolutionary process.
